Txakoli Primo Zarautz

Navigation

Since 1953

In 1953, Andrés Echave Olascoaga bought a vineyard of one hectare (10.000m2) located in the area called Unsain-Burua of Zarautz and founded Txakoli Primo.

From this time on, the elaboration of txakoli is started in the wine-cellar located in the Salbide district of Zarautz.

In order to create the brand of his txakoli, Andrés Echave made use of his fathers name, José Primo Echave, popularly known as Primo.

As the demand was steadily increasing, in 1995 the installations had to be transferred to the area of Abendaño Kalea, also in Zarautz, where you will find us today.
