Since 1953

• In 1953, Andrés Echave Olascoaga bought a vineyard of one hectare (10.000m2) located in the area called Unsain-Burua of Zarautz and founded Txakoli Primo.

• From this time on, the elaboration of txakoli is started in the wine-cellar located in the Salbide district of Zarautz.

• In order to create the brand of his txakoli, Andrés Echave made use of his fathers name, José Primo Echave, popularly known as Primo.

• As the demand was steadily increasing, in 1995 the installations had to be transferred to the area of Abendaño Kalea, also in Zarautz, where you will find us today.
